28 weeks!

I finally got around to taking some pregnancy pics and for some reason, they are all out of focus!  But you get the idea.  I'm getting big!

23 weeks and 23 months

This week I became 23 weeks pregnant and Wesley became 23 months old!  That means I'm gonna have a 2 year old in one month and in 17 weeks, I'll have two kids!  Wow, what a life.

Wesley is the cutest, smartest almost two year old I know ;)  His favorite things to say lately are "I'm poop," "Look at me," and "I do it."  He's an attention seeking, independent, boy!   Wesley is also singing several new songs lately which just melts my heart.  

At 23 weeks pregnant, I'm still feeling pretty good.  The other day, my feet swelled up like balloons and I thought i was in big trouble, but apparently the 90 degree weather played a part in that.  They've gone back to normal!

22 weeks and a Happy Mother's Day!

I'm late with this post due to a busy busy fun weekend.  Happy belated Mother's Day to all you women out there who are, will be, or want to be mothers!  I am so blessed by my own mother, grandmothers, and mother-in-law.  I dont think I could do life without them!  I am also feeling very blessed to be a mother to our sweet Wesley and to be growing a new life inside me.

I hit the 5 month mark this past week!  4 short months to go.  

 

21 weeks and we have a name!

21 Weeks!

I'm more than half way there!  Woohoo!  I can't wait to meet this little girl!  Jeff and I have known what her first name will be for a while.  We considered this name for Wesley if he were to be a girl, and when we found out we were expecting again, we decided we still liked the name.  We had some discussion about the middle name but settled on the one we had first come up with.  

So Ladies and Gentlemen, her name will be Hattie Jane.  Hattie after her great great grandmother, and Jane after her great grandmother.  I love family names!  Wesley has two family names as well, Wesley was his great grandfather and Carter is Jeff's mom's maiden name.  

Both Jeff and I are blessed with great families with long legacies of strong Christian men and women.  We can't wait to tell Wesley and Hattie about why we chose their names. 

20 weeks and its a......

Girl! Holy smokes, we were so shocked to find out we are having a girl!  Both Jeff and I come from families of boys and I suppose we just assumed we would have another boy.  I'm not quite sure what I'll do with a little girl, having only 3 brother's and 3 nephews, but I'm excited to figure it out.  This little girl is going to be so spoiled!

We're Pregnant!

The suspicion of many is right...we are expecting baby number two and couldn't be more excited! we are due on our 6 year anniversary, September 9th, and find out the gender on Monday!  I feel like I've "popped" this weeks, so thought it was time to start taking some pictures.  I hardly took any with Wesley, so hopefully I can be better at documenting this pregnancy.  Who doesn't love belly pics right?!
