Happy Halloween!

We went trunk-n-treating yesterday to have some Halloween fun in our home-made costumes. We went as the classic Halloween characters- skeleton, witch, ghost. We really like how our little skeleton turned out.

We also discovered that Wesley loves to be tossed in the air.

A trip to the pumpkin patch

We took Wesley to the pumpkin patch err parking lot turned pumpkin patch this week.  He was a super tired so all the pictures show his zoned out look. We still think he's cute.

Look What Nukie Did 1.3

Sorry this video is really dark. I hope you can get a good sense of how crazy our dog is despite the poor video quality.

what jeff made for dinner

Using fresh vegetables from our our urban garden, Jeff whipped up a tasty dinner for us.

Wanna see something really cute???

Jeff and I heard this week that H&M has a baby section (thanks Candace). So what did we do? We drove 40 minutes to Escondido and spent way too much money on our little stud. We found the cutest hat there (amongst other things) and we think it was all worth the trip. IMG_7290 IMG_7289 IMG_7283
Does it get any cuter than this? I think not.

Cousin Time!

Jeff's brother, Eric, and his little family came to visit us this weekend.  The parents took full advantaged of the cuteness factor of Wesley with his cousin Violet, and this is the result of an impromptu photo shoot. IMG_7238 IMG_7240 IMG_7242 IMG_7256 IMG_7265 IMG_7276
Haha.  Apparently, this was not as aggressive as it looks :)

he gets it from his mom

It has been so fun to watch Wesley grow and develop.  Recently, he has gotten more coordinated and loves to play with the rings on his toy saucer (Is that what you call those things??).

The problem is that he is a stud at pushing the rings off but doesn't know how to get them back up or even know where they have gone.  Here is a funny/really cute video of him getting really frustrated at his toy.  Jeff says he gets that from me.

New Step

"I'm gonna do something we should have done a long time ago," says Jeff after he just finished mowing the lawns. "Uh, oh," I think to myself wondering what Jeff is about to demolish. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. He fixed an annoying problem we had with our entry way. When we built or fence, we put the gate right in front of an area where there was no cement. Actually, there was no grass either, just the remains of...an old planter??? I don't know. But our solution was to fill it with river rocks, which kind of worked..until it rained or you tried to push a stroller over it. It also confused people trying to get into our house, except we never did outsmart those dang solicitors. But now, there will be no confusion, no stuck stroller wheels, and no rain puddles of mud.

 The Problem: IMG_7293 IMG_7294

The Solution: IMG_7297
And it even has little Wesley's hand print in it...awe. IMG_7302

It only took Jeff a couple hours to complete this project...he's right, he should have done it a long time ago. :)
